What an amazing half-term we have enjoyed! The children have loved being back at school learning, enjoying the unseasonally fresh weather and generally having a fabulous time. We are delighted to share our news with you below...

After School Clubs!
It's been fantastic to see the children enjoying the after school clubs this half term and we have been working really hard to establish some really exciting, fun and thrilling Clubs for the children going forward...
After half term Mr Russell will be delivering 'Fields Sports' with a different sport each week, 'East Anglia Gymnastics Club' will be joining us at school for 6 weeks, and from September, we will be starting our 'Shine Theatre Club' every week for the whole of 2021/2022, which we hope will be a show stopper!!!
Find out more at the links below and look out for the After-School Club Registration Forms via Arbor.
Do you love to tumble, spring and spin?... YES!... Then come along to our special Gymnastics Club delivered by East Anglian Gymnastics Centre instructors along with Mr Russell, for our Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children.
We are pleased to announce the Winner of the Census Day Special Lunch Voucher was Kingsleigh B from Magpie Class! Well done Kingsleigh, Mrs Ward will let you have your voucher in class today, so you can enjoy a trip to East Coast Cinema over the holidays.
We are really excited to be planning our Sports Days which will be held after the 21st June, once government guidelines enable us to hold larger events.
We are also thinking about arrangements to celebrate our amazing Year 6 Wagtails transition to High School and will keep you posted with news!
Staff Training with St. Peter's Penguins!
It was lovely to have
Miss Moore from St. Peter's Penguins Pre-School join us recently for Paediatric Training and we look forward to collaborating with them more as Covid allows.
ATTENDANCE = ATTAINMENT = ACHIEVEMENT
Attendance is vitally important for your child's education. Every minute they are late to school not only affects their learning but also disrupts the whole Class and everyone in it. Please ensure that your child(ren) arrive on time to school.
A Warm Welcome back to...
Mrs Henry, who is delighted to return to Phoenix following the arrival of her baby boy Felix, as Early Years Lead for the school.
We are thrilled to have Mrs Henry back who will be working alongside the wonderful Mrs Cordeaux in Magpie Class.
And Miss Burns, who is also thrilled to be returning soon following the arrival of her little girl Orla, as English Lead for the school. Miss Burns has lots planned and is looking forward to teaching again very soon.
Meet the Team...Mrs Ward, SBM
Having been in the finance sector for 25years, I moved into education in 2015 as School Business Manager for Southwold and Barnby & North Cove Primary Schools, which academised with The Consortium Multi Academy Trust in 2017.
This presented an opportunity to progress to role of PA to the CEO and Company Secretary at Consortium, supporting its 11 schools and 1 nursery setting across East Anglia.
This was a really exciting and challenging role but having been in this post for over 3 years, realised that I really missed the school environment and decided to apply for the position at Phoenix St. Peter Academy.
I am delighted to have been appointed as SBM for Phoenix St. Peter - this was my own primary school when Meadow Primary, before heading off to Kirkley Middle and then Kirkley High as they were known then! I am very proud of our community and am looking forward to the exciting future we have at Phoenix St. Peter Academy.
