    Join us for a fun-filled quiz night at Carlton Road Sports and Social Club (Kirkley Railway & Bowls Club) on Wednesday 5th April 2023.

    Doors open at 6.00 p.m and quiz to start at 7.00 p.m. Tickets cost £3.50 per person and will be available on the door.

    Everyone welcome. Profits will go towards playground equipment for the children at Phoenix St. Peter Academy.

  • Special Loved Ones' Lunch

    We are inviting parents and carers to join their child(ren) to a 'Special Loved Ones' Lunch'. 

    There are four dates to choose from with a maximum of two parents or carers for each child/family.

    Parents/Carers can attend together or on different dates.

    The cost of this lunch is £4.00 per adult, and £2.30 per child unless they are in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 or receive a free school meal. Younger non-school age siblings are welcome and are free of charge.

  • East Suffolk 'Field to Fork' scheme

    As part of our 'Seeds to Supper' programme, East Suffolk Council Communities Team will be attending the school on Wednesday 15th March during morning drop-off, to offer free starter kits that allow families to grow their own fruit and vegetables at home.

    Everything you need to start growing fruit and vegetables on a small scale with your family will be within the kits, including simple instructions to get you started. 

    Growing produce on any scales is proven to have positive mental and physical benefits for people of all ages.

  • World Book Week

    We are getting very excited about the upcoming 'Book Week' here at Phoenix St. Peter Academy

    We have a super fun packed week including a visit from local author Emily 'Madge' Payne and a visit from Waterstones' Book Store where children will be able to use their 'World Book Day' token.

    On Tuesday, children can attend school dressed in their favourite colour for our 'Day of Colour', and on Thursday children can come dressed as their favourite book character.

    There will be lots of fun activities throughout the week including children designing their own 'book token' as part of the National Book Token' competition.

    We will end the week with an 'Open School' from 2.45pm - 3.15pm where parents and carers are invited to come and read with their children in their classrooms.

  • Gull Wing Workshop coming to Phoenix

    We will be welcoming a Community Benefit Coordinator of the Gull Wing Project to Phoenix St. Peter Academy on Thursday 9th March 2023 to deliver age-appropriate workshops to our pupils in relation to the Gull Wing Bridge, its history, its conception, its build and how it will change Lowestoft.

    We are holding a 'Dressing Up Competition' on World Book Day, Thursday 2nd March.

    Children can come to school dressed as their favourite character from any book, film, television programme, or comic.
