Students are introduced too many new sports, students are taught the skills then apply those skills in intra school matches. During lessons students are taught rules and tactics of each sport. All students are giving the opportunity during lessons to lead this can either be as a referee/umpire during a match or to run warm up and cools downs.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

All students are given the opportunity to attend extra-curricular clubs, these clubs are for students to have fun, continue to develop and to stay active for longer periods of the day.  At Phoenix St Peter we run clubs during lunchtime and after school (15:30-16:30)

Daily Mile

Since September 2020 we have introduced the daily mile to every students daily timetable.  This is 15 minutes of running everyday this will improve children’s stamina which will help concentration in the classroom and will improve children’s mental wellbeing.

Sports Partnerships

We are part of two partnership who organise different sporting competitions and festivals:

  • North Suffolk Health Partnership
  • Reach2's Lowestoft Cluster Partnership

We believe that every children deserve to represents the school in a sports event, we make sure this happens by organising sports events at our school against local primary schools. As well as attending as many local sporting events, children will compete against other students of the same ability to help increase confidence.

Community Sports

We have created community links with sports organisations, we encourage our student’s to stay active at evenings and weekends.  We have links with:
