School Meals

Our School Cook and Catering Assistant are our marvellous, these ladies work incredibly hard to  provide us with delicious and nutritious meals every day!

All of our produce is sourced from local suppliers so that we create the tastiest meals using the freshest ingredients. As well as the mouth watering Hot Dinners or scrumptious Jacket Potatoes with a selection of fillings,  children can also choose a School Lunchbox.  Children love the Lunchbox where they can choose a sandwich or roll, a savoury accompaniment or pasta, salad pot and other items.  There is always a salad bar, fresh fruit and fresh bread available daily.

The Benefits of a School Meal

The benefits for Children receiving a school meal is evidenced by:

  • Offering a variety of different foods for children to try;
  • Ensuring that children receive at least one healthy meal each day;
  • Supporting a healthy immune system;
  • Improves concentration and reduces tireness;
  • Contributes to positive behaviour and learning engagement;
  • Increases educational attainment and progress;
  • Supports Healthy Eating habits;

School Meal Cost

Our School Meals are priced at £2.30 a day (£11.50 per week) and this can be paid online through our parent App 'Arbor', if you need a link for this please contact the school office.

If your child is eligible for Free School Meals or Universal Free School Meals you don't pay a penny! Please see below for further information.

Dietary Requirements

If your child has any dietary requirements that you would like to discuss with our catering team, they always happy to speak with you, please ask at the school office and we can put you in touch with them.

Universal Free School Meals for Reception, Year 1 & Year 2

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, so please make sure your child benefits from our wonderful meals, all they need to do is inform their Class Teacher at Registration.

Free School Meals

Could you eligible for Free School Meals?

Even if you are in receipt of the Universal Free School Meals, you can still make an application to Suffolk County Council, as this generates a huge amount of additional funding for the school which we use to benefit your child providing additional support, resources and subsidising educational visits and residentials trips.

Application is online, quick and confidential. If you are eligible Suffolk County Council will inform us immediately and you won't need to do anything further.
